Oban a very pleasing town with its natural harbour which serves as a busy ferry port in high season. Sit on the tiny docks and do some seal watching - who is watching who! Take a short walk on the promenade overlooking the Isle of Kerrera. The coliseum sitting above the town is McCaig's tower. A man with a big heart creating local employment in hard times. You can get small boat trips to the islands from here including the big ferry, Caledonian MacBrayne,  to Mull and outer islands.

The Waverley Paddle Steamer is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world. It tours many venues in the UK and Fort William is lucky enough to host this wonderful steamer on occasions. It cruises to Oban and smaller islands in this vicinity, not to mention time spent in the Clyde including Rothesay and Loch Fyne. A day very well spent wherever you cruise to.
