Edinburgh is confirmed as the hottest place to spend Hogmanay with the announcement that top Indie-rock band, Kasabian with special guests Idlewild, will perform Edinburgh's Hogmanay Concert in the Gardens with 97.3 Forth One. The bands will take to the unique stage beneath the castle from 10.00 pm on the 31st December and will join party goers in welcoming in 2008.

Kasabian's appearance at the Concert in the Gardens, crowns a successful year in which they have appeared at every major music festival, including Reading, Leeds, Glastonbury and Scotland's own T in the Park. With their first album ‘Kasabian' selling over 700,000 copies in the UK and their latest Album ‘Empire' shooting to number one on its release last year, NME recently rated Kasabian 9 out of 10 and claimed "love them or hate them, you just can't ignore them".
