Information about the hotel

A perfect relaxing break awaits you at Dale Lodge. As you arrive coming up the driveway, you can appreciate a sample of our 3 acres of mature gardens with secluded seating areas for you to relax and unwind.

Walking through the doors and sitting down for a complimentary coffee in the lounge, all the stress is guaranteed to just disappear. The hotel has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, but has still retained the character and charm of this beautiful Georgian building. The hotel is decorated in a modern style, but in keeping with the Georgian period property. There are 3 acres of mature gardens to be enjoyed in the summer and open fires and candle light for the winter.

    By Car Take the A591 towards Grasmere.
    Follow signs for Ambleside (if travelling from the south, you pass through Ambleside).
    After passing the 30 mph speed limit sign follow sign for Grasmere.
    Follow the road for 400 yards until it bends sharply to the left and the sharply to the right.
    The entrance to the Dale Lodge Hotel is immediately on your right. By Rail West Coast main line station is Oxenholme.
    Shuttle train to Windermere.
    Take the 555 or 599 bus to Grasmere, or by Taxi.
