The hotel was newly opened in 2005 and offers you spacious guest bedrooms that are designed in a fresh, contemporary style, with your comfort and convenience in mind. Enjoy a delicious meal in Julian's restaurant (closed Sundays), or a refreshing drink in Bar Polo. The hotel is also an ideal choice for all forms of meetings, training or presentation. It has 2 air conditioned meeting rooms, with a capacity for up to 50 delegates. Both rooms have natural light, broadband internet and a range of modern conference facilities. Delegate rates include room hire, equipment hire, coffee breaks and light lunch. Overnight delegate rates include all of the above, plus evening dinner, overnight accommodation and full Irish breakfast.

  • Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre (0 miles) - Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre is housed in the original 1897 bonded warehouse. The exhibition relates the story of the town's development, focusing on the Grand Canal, Tullamore Dew Whiskey (named after Daniel Edmond Williams) and Irish Mist Liqueur.
  • Belvedere House Gardens & Park (25 miles) - An oasis of beauty in the Midlands is there to be enjoyed. Belvedere opened to the public in early 2000 following a multi-million pound restoration project involving ERDF funding, the Irish Tourist Board and Westmeath County Council.
  • Birr Castle (25 miles) - The place name 'Birr' originated from an Irish term probably used to describe this riverside position, though for many years the town was known as 'Parsonstown', as Birr Castle was and still is, home to the Parsons family.
  • Clonmacnoise (30 miles) - Ireland's premier monastic site, is set in a tranquil and inspiring spot on the banks of the River Shannon. You will find a superb Visitor Centre and museum display, a multi-lingual audio-visual presentation, coffee shop and tourist information office.

Getting there

 

From Dublin:
Take the n4/n6 (Galway Road), then follow the n4 as far as Kinnegad.
Take the Kinnegad bypass, then follow the n6 for Galway and continue as far as Kilbeggan.
When you reach Kilbeggan take a left for Tullamore (n52).
When you arrive on the outskirts of Tullamore, follow signs for the town centre.
Continue into the town, over the canal, and turn right at the second set of traffic lights.
Continue down to the Garda Station, and turn left, following the road around onto Main Street Tullamore.
The Days Hotel is located about 500 metres down on the left hand side, right next to kfc.
