Crompton House is a Victorian built guest house which retains a lot of character, with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The guest house is ideally situated in Windermere, midway between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness.
Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, the number one location within the English Lake District National Park, Windermere.
We have 7 guest rooms, all are en suite and non-smoking. We have one four-poster room, one family room and 5 double rooms.
In our dining room of character we serve a full grilled English breakfast with a good choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit, and juice from our buffet table.
Within easy walking distance there is a host of restaurants catering for all tastes and prices, the local cinema, nightclubs, pubs and shops and the pier at Bowness where you can catch the steamer for a memorable trip upon the lake.

From North or South leave M6 at Junction 36.
Follow signs to South Lakes and Kendal.
This road is A590 / A591.
Follow A591 to Windermere.
Follow signs to Town Centre.
Drive through village towards Bowness and Lake.
This road is 'New Road'.
In about 3/4 km there is a Catholic Church on left.
This brings you to Lake Road.
CROMPTON HOUSE is approximately 115 metres on the left.

COMMENTS: The guest house does not accept Visa Electron cards to secure a reservation. However, Visa Electron cards can be used to settle your account.
A minimum 2 night stay is required at weekends (either Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday).
A minimum 3 night stay is required on all Bank Holidays including New Year.
We have no time restriction other than to insist on guests returning late at night to keep the noise to a minimum, respect must be given to our other guests and our neighbours.
When booking please provide a time of arrival and a mobile telephone number.
Please note that the leisure facilities are at a nearby Country club a few minutes drive away and not on site.
