Our hotel is most proud of its reputation as a warm and friendly gathering place. The Queens Hotel and Night Club is located in the centre of Ennis town Adjoining the ruins of a Franciscan Friary.

As a town known for its richness in history and tradition, Ennis dates back to the 13th century, when it was originally settled around the site of a Francisan Friary. With the Friary's magnificent ruins still at its centre, the town exists today as a thriving market town known for its narrow, winding streets and colourful shop fronts and pubs. Ennis is the ideal location to experience and explore the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and Bunratty Folk Park. Local Attractions

  • Ennis Friary (0 miles) - Founded in 1241, this abbey made Ennis a focal point of western Europe for many years. In 1375 it had no fewer than 350 friars and 600 students. The abbey still contains interesting sculpted tombs, decorative fragments, and carvings.
  • Bunratty Castle and folk park (5 miles) - Built in 1425 and restored in 1954. Situated on 26 acres it recreates 19th century Ireland. Features include a recreated village street, farmhouses, watermill, a blacksmith's forge, Mac's pub, a church and a display of 19th century farm machinery
  • Cliffs of Moher (14 miles) - Natural ramparts against the might of the Atlantic, they rise in places to over 215m and stretch for almost 8km. O'Brien's Tower, constructed in the early 19th century as a viewing point for Victorian tourists, is located on Mohers highest cliff.
