Information about the hotel

A beautiful sixteenth-century house set in 67 acres of parkland and gardens near the city of Darlington. With extensive leisure facilities on-site and shopping facilities in Darlington, this hotel caters for all tastes.

Hall Garth offers every opportunity to relax and enjoy the tranquil countryside and good food combined with a dip in the pool or round of golf. Enjoy fine food and service in Hugo's restaurant followed by a relaxing drink in one of the beautifully furnished sitting rooms. From early January until mid February 2008, Stables Country Pub will be closed for refurbishment (sky sports will not be available). Food service is still available in Hugo's Restaurant and also through the lounge and room service.

  • Raby Castle (1 miles) - Historic Raby Castle, set in a 200 acre deer park, has been the home of Lord Barnards' family since 1626, when it was purchased by his ancestor, Sir Henry Vane, the eminent statesman and politician.
  • Burton Agnes Hall (15 miles) - A lovely Elizabethan Hall filled with treasures collected by the family over four centuries from the fascinating original carving and plasterwork to a large collection of Impressionist and contemporary paintings.
  • The Teapottery (18 miles) - The Teapottery makes handmade, collectable teapots at it's two centres in Leyburn, in the Yorkshire Dales, and Keswick, in the Lake District. Visitors are invited to watch the craftspeople at work and browse in the teapot shop.
