Information about the hotel

Set in the quiet leafy village of Crowthorne, this elegant Victorian building is grade 2 listed and has benefited from a GBP one million refurbishment.

The extensive refurbishment has restored The Waterloo Hotel to its former glory with a contemporary twist. This has created a warm and comfortable establishment with modern décor and a friendly environment. The hotel provides an excellent base for exploring Berkshire, including Royal Ascot, Farnborough Air Show, Legoland, Thorpe Park and Windsor Castle. Crowthorne is a small village, and the earliest commonly accepted reference to it comes from a map made in 1607 (John Norden's survey). The map had Crowthorne mentioned as the point where 3 paths through the New Forest met.

  • Look Out Discovery Centre (3 miles) - It has over 70 interactive exhibits designed to entertain and educate children and adults of all ages. There is a Sound and Music Zone where you can play a tune on our giant keyboard, make water dance or see what your voice looks like.
  • Wellington Country Park (11 miles) - There are many excellent reasons for visiting this Park. Families are welcome with picnic and barbecue sites, a cafeteria for hot and cold snacks and soft drinks and a separate coffee shop serving Wellington ice cream.
  • Ascot Racecourse (12 miles) - Ascot, founded in 1711 by Queen Anne, is one of the world's most famous racecourses and stages 24 days of the highest quality flat and National Hunt racing each year.
  • Legoland (12 miles) - Legoland Windsor is divided into the following themed areas: My Town, Castleland, Wild Woods, Lego Traffic, Duplo Gardens, Miniland, Imagination Centre and The Beginning.

Getting there

 

By Car (from the M4); - Exit the M4 at junction 10, following signs to Bracknell via A329.
Then follow signs to Sandhurst (A3095).
- Take a right turn at roundabout for Crowthorne (B3348).
- At the mini roundabout proceed straight ahead.
- The hotel is situated on left hand side after traffic lights.
Directions from the M3:
- Exit the M3 at junction 4 heading left towards Camberley (A331).
- Follow signs to Sandhurst and Crowthorne (A3095).
- Take a left turn at the roundabout for Crowthorne (B3348).
- At the mini roundabout proceed straight ahead.
By Train:
- Crowthorne provides easy access to and from central London by train with regular departures. By Air:
- London Heathrow Airport is about 15 minutes away by car.
