Information about the hotel

The Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel is a 4* hotel converted from an 18th century mill. Our guest rooms are fitted out with all the services you would expect from a modern hotel.

Local Attractions

  • Westport House (1 miles) - A beautiful and historical home. Located on the grounds are many attractions for children of all ages, including a log flume ride, swan peadaloes a miniture railway and an animal and bird park.
  • National Museum of Country Life (13 miles) - Home to the national folklife collection, magnificent gardens and artificial lake. You can also see part of the restored Turlough Park House. In close proximity to the site are three ring forts, a medieval abbey and the renowed Turlough round tower.

Westport operates a one way system.
On arrival into Westport from Castlebar, go straight over the bridge.
At the top of Bridge Street turn right.
Over Shop Street turn left, keeping right towards the Quay (on the Louisburgh Road - scenic route).
Approximately one mile on the left hand side stands The Atlantic Coast Hotel.
