Information about the hotel

A small, privately run hotel, conveniently located for Manchester City Centre (10 minutes drive). A modernised hotel, tastefully restored to its original Victorian glory and was voted Best B&B of 2004.

The Ascott is close to Manchester City centre, Metro and Train link and within easy access of the M602 motorway. We are also within 10 minutes drive of Old Trafford, home to Manchester United, as well as the Trafford and Lowry centres. This is property has a 4 Star AA Guest Accommodation accreditation We are conveniently located for all Manchester's business and leisure facilities, men Arena, Trafford Park, Lancashire Cricket Club and we are also only 20 minutes from Manchester Airport. All our rooms have tea & coffee facilities, colour TV and radio alarm; hair dryers and irons are available on request. Further more we provide a laundry service. A comfortable period style lounge is available for residents. A patio garden is available for guests' use in the summer. Local Attractions

  • Manchester Evening News Arena MEN (5 miles) - MEN Arena is situated at and on Victoria railway station. It is on the north side of the city centre, and is well signposted on all major road routes into the city. The Arena is the largest indoor seated arena in Europe.
  • Manchester Town Hall (8 miles) - This magnificent building was designed in Victorian Gothic style and opened in 1877. Amongst its many treasures are the Ford Maddox Brown murals which are monument to the ideas of Victorian Manchester.
  • Wheel of Manchester (8 miles) - To add a touch of sparkle to proceedings, the magnificent Wheel of Manchester returns to Exchange Square. Lit by thousands of lights and at 60 meters high, it offers spectacular views across Manchester and beyond.

Follow for Manchester on the M60, at junction 13 join the M602 Salford Manchester and exit at junction 2 for Eccles, turn left onto Eccles old road and second set of lights turn left onto Halfedge lane, hotel is 1/4 mile on left hand side:
