Offering all you need for an enjoyable stay, The Estuary boasts 10 en suite rooms, all of which are located on the ground floor and equipped with all common facilities. Located approximately 4 miles North of Harlech on the a 496, The Estuary is within reach of all major attractions, making it ideal for a relaxing or fun-packed break. The Estuary Lodge has a strict non-smoking policy. Guest reservations may be cancelled, with no refund of deposit, if guests are found to be smoking. The Estuary is a 4-star, purpose built and family-run guest accommodation. A non-smoking establishment (including the car park and grounds), it offers 10 en suite rooms, all located on the ground floor and equipped with a wide range of convenient facilities (please see individual room details for a complete list).

Local Attractions

  • Portmeirion (4 miles) - Open all year, this hotel village is set in woodland across the estuary from the motel. The Italianate village is famous for its pottery, the filming of 'The Prisoner' and the last episode of 'Cold Feet'
  • Ffestiniog Railway (5 miles) - Built to take the slate from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog, this narrow guage steam railway offers an interesting and historical ride through the Welsh countryside. Santa specials run through December.
  • Black Rock Sands, Pwllheli (8 miles) - Flat, uninterrupted peaceful sands to walk, park and play on with beautiful views of the surrounding sea and mountains.
  • Snowdon from Llanberis (45 miles) - Take a walk up and the train down or vice versa. If you are feeling really lazy, take the train both ways! Hotel at the top and magnificent views on a clear day.

- Follow the A55 towards Conwy and take the A470 to Betws-Y-Coed. - Head towards Porthmadog and follow signs for Harlech. From the Midlands:
- Follow the M54 Shrewsbury to the A5. - Take the A458 through Welshpool towards Dolgellau. - Then head towards Porthmadog, following signs for Harlech.
