Information about the hotel

Set in 27 peaceful acres in the delightful Cotswold village of Birdlip, the Royal George dates back to the 18th century. Our hotel epitomises a friendly, traditional English country hotel.

The excellent restaurant serves a good range of high quality fare, freshly prepared and cooked using local produce where possible. A traditional bar adds to the general ambience and leads on to an attractive terrace overlooking extensive lawns. Our hotel is very popular for weddings and functions, the hotel has weddings most weekends. The Hanover and Gainsborough function rooms can accommodate up to 100 people. The whole hotel is non-smoking A designated smoking area is provided. The hotel has a quiz night every Thursday, and live music every Friday.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: null COMMENTS: Guests must advise hotel of late arrival. We hold functions and weddings most weekends, with music ceasing at midnight. A penalty of GBP 50 is charged for rooms found to have been smoked in.
