Blackpool is
quite possibly Britain's favourite holiday
destination. Famous for its Golden Mile
with its amusement arcades,
piers, trams,
pubs, fish and chip shops and bingo halls. Not to
forget its sandy beach which seems to go
on forever
Fun lasts not just all day but all night with plenty of nightlife
venues as well as the famous Blackpool Illuminations which run from
late August to beginning of November. It doesn't cost a penny to see
them and they attract thousands each year. Blackpool Illuminations
have been around since 1879 and were described as artificial
sunshine, 100,000 people came to see this first great light show. It
takes 22 weeks to erect the illuminations and just 9 weeks to
dismantle them!
The best night in Blackpool of course
is the night they switch the lights on. You can either drive
yourself through in your car or take the easy route by bus or even
better take the tram with its open top for the very best view.
Feeling romantic then take a ride in a horse drawn carriage.
There's something for everyone at
Pleasure Beach Theme Park Blackpool. There are over 125 rides and attractions,
plus spectacular shows, including the world-renowned Hot Ice at the
Arena and the glamorous and exotic new show Forbidden.
Get ready to immerse your senses
... Infusion, the brand new white-knuckle
wave. Five incredible loops and rolls plus a double line twist all
in one suspended looping coaster. Dare to leave behind dry land and
duck and dive around a spectacular starburst fountain, dodge cheeky
wet jets and dart through a heart-stopping, curved cascading
waterfall as it gushes breathtakingly close to riders.
The theme park / amusement park has everything from thrilling

Avalanche - to more leisurely cruises around the River Caves and
